A Little About Me…

  • Origin

I was born and raised in Michigan, but my entire family is originally from Canada.

  • Professional Development

I completed medical school at Loma Linda University in Southern California. It was there where I realized that what moves me most is listening to patients tell their stories. I subsequently completed my general adult psychiatry residency at Emory University in 2007.

  • Community mental health centers, The V.A., Student Health Clinic, Psychotherapy, Residential Treatment, Medication Management, Consultation, Inpatient Psychiatry, Group Therapy, Quality Review, Patient Care.

    Experience

I’ve worked in a variety of clinical settings and have had the privilege of knowing and caring for a diverse population of patients.

  • Self-Care

My husband and I are proud parents of a sweet, “found-in-the-parking-lot” dog named Louie. Spending time in nature is how I re-charge my batteries.
