Treatment Approach

Determining the best course of treatment is a collaborative effort. You are the expert on you, and I happen to know a little something about mental health. I approach my practice as a human being first; second, as someone who has personally dealt with mental health symptoms, and third, as a psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience.

Testimonials

“I first started seeing Dr. Dickson in 2019 after an inpatient hospitalization. From my very first interaction with her, I knew she was going to be able to help me. Not because she could write a prescription or order some labs, but because she listened to what I had to say. She troubleshooted. She did her research. She asked important questions. Most of all, she treated me like a human being, not an illness or diagnosis.” —E.C.

“Dr. Dickson is very personable, patient, and shows genuine interest in my well-being as a patient and a person. She actively listens and interacts, and is highly responsive. Her experience and expertise showed through clearly during our interaction. Also, she has one of the most pleasant ‘bed-side manners’ I've ever experienced with a healthcare provider.” —J.F.
